HARO (Help a Reporter Out) is hosting its second HARO Happy Hour on Thursday, November 19, 2026, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. MST at HARO headquarters inside Industrious, 7014 E Camelback Rd Suite B100A, Scottsdale, Arizona. Admission is free with RSVP, and drinks are on us.
Sixty people came to the first HARO Happy Hour on April 16, 2026. Journalists, PR pros, founders, and a few people who just had a good HARO story spent the evening comparing notes on queries, pitches, and where the industry is headed. We are doing it again, and we want to see some new faces this time.
What happens at HARO Happy Hour
It is a happy hour, not a conference. There is no program and no agenda. You will meet people from across PR, communications, and media in Arizona, and if you are curious how HARO works, our team will run optional short breakouts on how HARO operates and what we are building next.
Who should come
If you have ever used HARO, pitched through HARO, responded to a HARO query, or wondered how the platform really operates, you will feel at home.
- PR and communications professionals
- Journalists and media creators
- Founders, marketers, and operators
- Anyone with a good HARO story

The HARO Gift Bag: how brands can contribute a product
We are looking for brands to contribute physical products for the gift bags at HARO Happy Hour, hosted in person at our headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona. The event brings together PR and media professionals for an evening of networking, connection, and celebration. Our last event welcomed 60 attendees, and we expect a similar or larger turnout this time.
We are looking for useful, fun, creative, or unexpected products that PR and media professionals would be excited to find in their gift bags. Think beyond traditional promotional swag. We would love products that attendees will actually use, talk about, take home, or share with others, and we are especially interested in products that give attendees a chance to discover a brand they may not already know.
What kinds of products fit the HARO Gift Bag?
We are open to ideas. Some examples:
- Desk and stationery: journals, pens, planners, desk accessories
- Beauty and self-care: skincare, candles, personal care products
- Wellness: fitness, hydration, healthy snacks, wellness products
- Food and beverage: specialty treats, coffee, tea, drink mixes, tumblers
- Travel and lifestyle: totes, travel accessories, home goods
- Tech: charging accessories, phone and tech accessories, work-from-anywhere essentials
- Fun and unique: games, puzzles, locally made products, quirky or unexpected finds
- Arizona-made: products from Arizona brands and makers are especially welcome
What participating brands receive
- Your brand and product named in the HARO Happy Hour recap article, with a link to your site
- A mention in the HARO Happy Hour recap post on LinkedIn
- The option to include a branded gift tag or sticker with your product featuring your company/product name and relevant brand details
- Your product in the hands of 60 or more PR and media professionals, the people who discover, recommend, and write about brands

Email haro@helpareporter.com with the subject line “HARO Happy Hour Gift Bags” and include your company and product name, a website or product link, a short product description, and the number of units available. If the product fits our attendees and the event, we will follow up with next steps.
HARO Gift Bag requirements
- Physical products only. Service vouchers, gift certificates, coupons, discount codes, and promotional offers are not accepted in place of a product.
- Products are provided at no cost to the event or attendees. Brands cover shipping to Scottsdale.
